A Measuring Tool Holder Swap

This is a finished item swap for a covered tape or measuring tool holder.

Size:

Depending on style:

bulletcovered retractable measure about 1 1/2"diameter.
bulletmetal or plastic ruler (rigid) ...4-6"overall
bulletA regular rolled cloth tape measure......2" max.

Materials:

What ever suits you!  I would suggest nice felt for the retractable measure. Ribbon base for the rolled cloth measure.  For the ruler case...stitchers choice.

Methods:

A pattern of your own making, an idea taken from books or magazines, or otherwise purchased pattern.

Theme:

Any subject.

You may wish to check with the recipient as to their preference, in subject and color, since this is a swap for a series of tools to be used together.

Note:

You will need to ask whether your partner uses a cloth tape measure, a ruler or a retractable tape measure, before you decide on a pattern.
